OUR PROGRAMS

Experienced Dressmakers, Pattern makers, quality home sewers and Quilt makers are very welcome.

Students gain so much from your knowledge.

Many hands make light work.

Students learn sewing machine fundamentals learning to sew simple items they can sell or use in the home.

Embroidery is also being taught using traditional methods.

Students are encouraged to explore creating patchwork, recycling, using stitches, motifs, colours and mirrors.

Patchwork is wonderful as it teaches straight seams and the need of accuracy when constructing.

Our focus is on training and upskilling,  Our aim is to create holistic change for the community to grow as a whole.

Providing schools with sewing machines and tools creating brighter futures.

Nurturing traditional techniques, artisans and craftsmanship, mentoring and paving a way towards independence.

Over the past three years, The Moi Thread Project has been financially supported by family and friends. However financial donations are welcomed and we are grateful for financial support so we can continue with this valuable project.
